The Coachella Valley Resource Conservation District (CVRCD) assists public and private land owners in the protection and conservation of natural resources.
CVRCD is an independent, non-regulatory, locally-governed special district that works in partnership with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to provide Coachella Valley farmers, desert habitat managers, homeowners, landscape nursery managers, golf course superintendents and municipal land managers support with resource conservation issues such as:
- Watershed protection and restoration
- Wind and water erosion control
- Desert habitat management
- Soil salinity management
- Soil reclamation planning
- Conservation outreach and education
- Agricultural and urban irrigation management
